“While You Were Sleeping” installation by Su Blackwell
For some time now I have been admiring the work of English artist Su Blackwell, especially her book cut sculptures. She uses paper, “this delicate medium and …irreversible, destructive processes to reflect on the precariousness of the world we inhabit and the fragility of our life, dreams and ambitions.” My blogging, which by no means is any comparison to Blackwell’s work, is my own attempt to deal with precisely this precariousness.
